in Florence,Italy design by O'EL Designs Creative Director Noelle Llave,

which won her 3rd place for the bag design category.

Inspired by the competition theme "Ocean" and by the voyagers journey

to the sea & the marine life they stumble upon.

"PEARL OF THE ORIENT LEATHER BAG"

The piece that won the designer 3rd place and a scholarship to Accademia Riaci.

This single handle leather hand bag is named after the Philippines name origin which

was called “Pearl Of the Orient” because of the lands elegant organic beauty and its bountiful resources. This handbag can be worn both day and night and handmade from Cow Hide Leather and by local artisans from The Philippines leather

making capital Marikina City.

To achieve the organic aesthetic, the hand bag is delicately hand sewn with Capiz shells aka Windowpane oyster” which are native to the shores of Western Visayas Philippines, The Province of Capiz. While the handles are hand cut and made from industrial plastic.

"BARNACLE BUCKET LEATHER BAG"

This ”Barnacle Bag” is named and inspired by the silhouette of an Acorn Barnacle,

a sea crustacean which are usually found attached to seashore rocks.

This mini bucket bag is made from locally sourced cow hide leather to achieve the acorn like structure and to achieve the protruding fan out wave like cut out pattern. This bag can be worn with a detachable sling.
